2024-05-24 17:02:58 +0000 UTCOda dedicate page 1 of each chapters to various of things, which include Cover Stories, color spread to show color of characters before they hit the anime, important announcements, etc. Cover Stories are basically just 1 big page of art over span of multiple chapters. Once you connect all of them together, they tell a story. There are currently 19 of them. You can safely read first 16 without spoilers. 17+18 was released during Wano Arc so there might be spoilers in them (You probably have to wait a bit before reading those). Some Cover stories do get adapted, but most doesn't. Wapol's cover story was pre timeskip, yet you didnt see it in anime until all the way in Reverie Arc. Some examples of Cover stories are stuff like: Ace's adventure during his hunt for Blackbeard; How Jango the Pirate from Syrup's Village became a member of the navy; Enel's adventure after being defeated and how he went to the Moon; Jimbei's adventure between Fishman Island and Whole Cake; Some characters that are preassumed dead somehow show up alive; etc. I can grab the links for you to read if you want. Up to you if you want to do a reaction video or just read on your own time.

Also there is a cover story in the manga that does the followup of what happened to everyone including Germa66 right after the events of Whole Cake Island arc that unfortunately would probably never be animated. (Unsure if anyone in the past ever mentioned what cover stories are to you)
