This episode is Peak. Shoots story is so devastating and understandable and human. And I love how midoriya chose to save him from a life of darkness filled with hating his father instead of living for himself when he could have won if he didn't have so much empathy towards his opponent. Also bakugos friends laugh because they can recognize that he's not serious when he says he's going to "kill" them, and there's more to him than what he presents. It almost comes off as a trauma response, the way he acts. Does it excuse this crappy behavior towards people absolutely not but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have depth in his character writing as well.
