By allowing that arrangement he treated Asuna as property as well, just with less self-awareness of how disgusting that is. The glasses guy seems like a more traditional villain who takes enjoyment from making others suffer. This is a pretty good cliffhanger since you're shown the image but literally have no idea about how or why or where or when.
