2021-07-26 20:36:45 +0000 UTCI can't remember where I read this particular take, but one idea got stuck in my craw after seeing it; UFO speculation & current disclosure are a pressure valve conspiracy theory to steer sections of the population that are currently falling into Millenarianist QAnon adjacent cults - corral the crazies & the wingnuts into your UFO bunker so they're not arming themselves with assault rifles and terrorising pizza shop owners. Absolutely no evidence ofc, but I thought it was interesting. Considering Elizondo is counterintelligence, I think we have to consider the possibility that the intelligence he's countering is low-information US citizens and facebook groups. If you look at some of the more out-there Elizondo claims, it looks like he's trying to vaguepost and hit as many new-age spiritualist talking points without saying anything specific to cast as wide as net as possible. EDIT: the timeline actually does seem to bear this out specifically with TTSA; TTS forms in 2015 as a record label, Pizzagate gets really underway in 2016; TTSA rebrands in 2017 when Tom gets his handlers about the same time QAnon really kicks off in September/October.

Great stuff again, hope you guys cover the topic again if/when more bullshit happens. Most UFO-centric podcasts are the sort where the host thanks the spook guests for their service, so this has been refreshing
