Volume of the show

Have tried pushing it up the last few episodes due to some people saying the patreon episodes seem quieter than the free ones. I'm always trying to minimise noise (the "hiss" you hear when people stop speaking), that might account for why it seems quieter than other shows. Have also noticed that Patreon seems to compress the volume quite a lot vs. apps with built in sound boosters too. Trying to work out how to fix it without creating the "boomy" sound you hear on shows where the producer goes apeshit with the gain knob.

its been pretty quiet on my end but Have only listened to a few, have to have it at full volume

2021-08-08 18:55:56 +0000 UTCYeah, I've been finding this. Most of the time it's not an issue but if I'm in a noisy space, I find myself trying to increase the volume even though it's at its highest. The past few episodes have been like this, can't recall it happening before. Don't know if it's causation or correlation but I noticed this when I used the patreon link in my podcast player.
