We then explore various theories people have put forward over the years to explain the crimes, and offer our own holistic take for good measure. We close by discussing what became of major players in the case, and set up threads we will pursue for the remaining episodes of TBXF.

The question of the ‘Amarillo’ cover/adaptation being played is … haunting. Not just because of how you mixed that sequence- but because that is such an obviously Tarantino-esque soundtrack to a scene of ultraviolence unfolding in a supermarket. I can see it in my head with no effort at all…

2024-08-31 02:01:46 +0000 UTCKeeping with the theory that this is a larger group behind the attacks, what if the Killer is being rotated out a bunch in order to test different guys? And he’s required to kill somebody during the job in order to get blooded in? And that explains the behavioral differences. Maybe the Giant and the third person, already inducted, are there to observe/critique how the Killer handles himself and make sure their objective is accomplished.
