one simple and sinister benefit of something like predictive PROMIS (and "AI" in general) that i rarely hear discussed: as a high-tech scapegoat. these people are monsters, but they still have some rudimentary humanity, and crave plausible deniability. regardless of whether it performs as advertised, AI appeals to the sanctity of "the mission" or "just following orders" in another form. as usual, Phillip K. Dick got here first: the Precogs identified this person as dangerous, therefore we have moral license to do what we'd planned anyway, and erase them. however, if the Precogs contradict a decision, they can be ignored, because they're only tools of superior human understanding. it's fascism on virtual steroids.

2024-05-23 20:08:50 +0000 UTCYour guest is completely wrong about the testing for drugs. There is a standard panel that is sent for they come in 5,8 and extended (often 20) drugs. The cops do not order anything and the doctors just run what their standard panel is unless told otherwise

2024-02-10 06:20:47 +0000 UTCGreat work on this series. Did you know Ted Gunderson worked the Jeff MacDonald case with Dennis Eisman? Lots of weird connections between Gundo and danger-man Rico. Rico and Gundo also wrote an affidavit trying to prove OKC bombing was part of a plot to start a crackdown on right wing militia. To me, I almost wonder if Rico was part of a plot to manufacture widespread belief in a conspiracy theory to spur on some brownshirt militia revolt... Pure speculation maybe RBN told Casolaro his family would get money if he died under strange circumstances? Would make sense w/ his MS diagnosis and money situation. And RBN has a history of defrauding desperate people with fake conspiracy theories (see Sam Israel case). Also would make sense why all these LaRouchites are in the background. Their weird culty beliefs were also very similar to the Octopus theory… believe LaRouche also referred to the “banking families” that controlled the world as an Octpus… But maybe just my paranoia talking!
