2024-06-26 23:05:04 +0000 UTCthe golden eyes are an anime thing only, they are supposed to show that kirito is in incarnation mode. which is can be triggired by strong emotions, but its really inconsistent. Asuna didnt get it when she saved him from kuradeel in season 1 episode 10 or when she broke the paralysis from heathcliff in the final fight. last episode kirito didnt get them either while he changed colors. just to name a few cases to put it simple he gets golden eyes if he is at his peak
