- Ask Ian: I've seen lots of stuff around the BBC Licence Fee and people refusing to pay it, saying it's extortion etc. What's your view? I am one of them people who does not call but prefers a text- receiving a call gives me a massive anxiety, my phone is permanently on silent.. text or a whatsapp feels like I can think the thought over what I am going to say and not have to think on my feet like when in a call. Ps. Soup is a food, when it has things you got to chew.
