Hello there
If you listened along with the recent barrage of Cabin Fever podcasts over the purgatory week before Christmas and New Year, then you will already know about this picture.
If you didn't listen (you missed a great treat of daily camaraderie) then I shall explain to you that I started this picture, impulsively, on the morning of the 25th. I was clearing out my phone as it had no memory left, and noticed a screen grab of Yoda tucked away from 2021 (it was actually on May 4th - predictably). I'd obviously saved it to draw it at some stage, and what better day to have a crack at it. I've never drawn Yoda properly before. Which is odd.
I carried on doing a little bit of it every day, rather than sitting doing a full 8 hours on it or whatever, and it slowed me right down to go into great detail on it. I've honestly made it sound like a masterpiece in those podcasts, and it isn't that, but it was painstaking and I'm pleased with what I did.
So you can have a look at the progress and finished thing right now. There were just over 300 photos of it on my phone, so I've done you the favour of whittling them right down. I find it very satisfying to see how the image "grows" out of the dots (and some lines) on this one... it was really slow, like a lazy Polaroid.

And on the 1st of January, it finally got to the end...

Absolutely love it, absolutely would have it on my wall, absolutely going to upload it to Etsy for sale. That's my solitary new year resolution; Draw and try to sell. No more fanning about being shy about it.
Hope you've had a lovely restful start to your week with a day off
Sending much love your way
