Gargoyle Knob Part 1

Hello there

Yes, I know what that title sounds like, why do you think I did it?  It's not what it sounds like though sadly.

Over the 'holidays', whilst doing my Yoda doodle, I was also having a go at making a couple of moulds for some forthcoming projects.  I really did think it would take me a couple of days at most, but a mix of distraction, lack of confidence, and general lethargy, conspired to make this drag on. I did film every time I sat down to  work on it though.

When I finally transferred all the video footage today (including a frantic hour where there was no sign of the first few videos), it came in at over four hours.  I've managed to edit that down (you're welcome) but it's still gonna be a two-parter.

Second part shall be with you tomorrow, but let's give the soft-warning for you to not invest too much hope in this...

Oh and Loopholes is definitely back next week, double promise.

Hope your week is going splendidly in every possible way

Much love

xxxxxxxxxx

I think key for that would be making a jacket for the mould to keep it in shape - which is what I should have done for the Star Wars display stand I made (that's why they were slightly warped)

Yep the very one

Really interested to see how these come out and the actual process, I've been thinking of looking into how realistic it would be to cast resin copies of small electronic enclosure panels. It seems potentially a lot easier (and cheaper) to just make my own instead of trying to paint the original aluminium parts themelves. Having only painted plastic before I didn't like how many references there suddenly were to washing things with acid, warnings of chemical reactions and anything related to "toxic fumes".

I love these crafty videos. I thought it was the knob head from A Christmas Carol, but I think that's Goofy as Jacob Marley. Is it the knob head out of Alice and Wonderland?
