I think for "cute" you can practice drawing many frills. Clothes with frills are always cute. For "fancy" you can use free online pattern designs and just mask them to fit the shape. I notice most artists put too many belts, I prefer hats and gloves for a high class lady feeling.

I would disagree that here is anything perfect portrayal-wise, but one may see what I am aiming for. It is hard to slap any clothes indeed, I believe I just need to try harder, I really want cute fancy clothes, alas.

2021-07-19 07:38:29 +0000 UTCMe too, it seems most artists draw better with elaborate clothes, but then decide to make it cast-off, and the body underneath is a disappointment. Here the body is perfect, but I can see how draping over it with something elaborate can be a challenge.

My line art is not very impressive so most of the time I always end up taking the painting route instead of drawing. I'm not sure if switching to a screen table will help. Perspective is also a huge problem for me. I watch tutorial videos when I have free time. I find that watching videos is a less stressful way to improve compared to actual drawing or painting. You'll also end up learning something new that you could incorporate to your own works after viewing a specific tutorial. Your pieces are really charming and they catch people's attention. I get that artists always want to continue improving in their craft so I'm wishing you good luck!
