Doomsday preppers 11

A/N so the first part is missing a lewd, I am not in the right mind space to write lewds right now. I'll post announcement once I write it up.

I used AI to fix my frankly terrible grammar, personally I don't like what it's done but if it's an easier read for you all please let me know

There's a big announcement at end of this very short chapter.

"They...they want to talk to you," Takashi said, holding out the phone to Akira. He'd only spoken to his mother for two minutes before a man interrupted and demanded to speak to Kira. Even though Takashi wasn't the brightest, he knew who that was.

Akira, who was on another call, nodded and took the phone. "Come, Takashi, sit with me," he said as they walked to the living room.
Takashi sat on the couch, across from Akira, who remained standing, phone pressed to his ear.

"Yes, I understand. We'll be waiting. Goodbye," Akira said, ending the call before sitting down. "What did your mom say?"

"She's safe, and she's looking after Hisashi's sister," Takashi replied. "How...how did you do this?"

"Since you're my second-in-command, I'll fill you in. There are three strongholds in Tokonosu: the Takagi Manor, the Island, and Shintoko Third Elementary. The Takagi Manor is run by Saya's family, Shintoko by the Japanese Self-Defense Force, and the Island by me," Akira explained. Takashi stared, wide-eyed.

"Wait, you mean the Island? That huge thing out there? You built it?!" Takashi exclaimed. "How?!"
"The 'how' is irrelevant. Right now, I'm in contact with the leaders of the other strongholds. Shintoko is overcrowded and won't last long. So, I've made a deal with them: I'll take in some of their people, including your mother and Hisashi's sister, in exchange for resources." Akira explained, and Takashi chuckled.

This was the guy he was supposed to compete with?

"So, instead of going after her, she'll come to us," Akira said. "I'm going to the Island to oversee the operation. For now, we wait. Your mother is safer with trained soldiers than with two clueless teens."

Takashi blushed and looked away. "I'll...I'll tell Hisashi the good news."

"Good," Akira said, returning to his laptop.
Takashi left, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. Knowing his mother was safe made him feel elated.

An hour later

"You always impress me, Akira," Yuko said, sitting beside him.

"Is that so?" Akira asked, putting on a mask and hoodie.

"It's never a dull moment with you," Yuko smiled.

"I'm glad I entertain you," Akira said, setting up his laptop and webcam. "The conference starts soon. Remember what you have to do."

"Look pretty and translate," Yuko replied, amused. She was wearing one of Rika's uniforms, a bit too tight, but she'd manage.

"The call's starting now," Akira said, opening three windows on his laptop.

Yuko recognized Takagi and Shoichi Ibara, her boss. The third person was in a police uniform.
"Hello everyone, my name is Kira," Akira said in English with an American accent.

Yuko translated.

"You can speak Japanese, but I prefer to avoid misunderstandings. Ms. Yuko will translate."
Yuko bowed slightly.

"I'll cut to the chase, Kira," Ibara began. "This plague, we didn't see it coming. Except for you, it seems. Your walls, your resources...you're two steps ahead."

"I was lucky," Akira replied.
"You expect us to believe you built a walled city for fun?" Takagi asked.

"That's the truth," Akira said. "I bought local islands to build a paradise. Then, a friend warned me about something supernatural."

"Supernatural?" Ibara scoffed. "You expect us to believe-"

"The dead walk among us, hungry for flesh," Akira said. "I have resources, but no guidebook for surviving the apocalypse."

"So, you think this plague is permanent?" Ibara asked. "The UN and our government have plans, maybe a cure."

"Maybe, but I'm not in touch with them. We can't take chances. This isn't a flu; it won't go away on its own," Akira replied.

"Why contact us, Kira?" the Don asked.
"We're this city's hope. We need to help as many people as possible."

"And what's your end goal?"

"To take back the city," Akira said.
Yuko glanced at Akira. Despite the mask and hoodie, she saw his determination.

"Those are big words from someone outside the city," the police officer said. "The city is lost. I'm protecting water and electricity plants, but I don't know how long that'll last."

"I thank you for your service," Akira replied. "But we can't live behind walls forever. I'd rather wall off the city itself."

"That's for the future. Let's discuss your promises, Kira," Ibara said.

"Of course, Mr. Ibara. Your people are welcome. The sooner they arrive, the better."

"What about Mrs. Komuro? Why go through all this for her?" Ibara asked suspiciously.

"She's my lover," Yuko blurted out.

"I see," Ibara muttered.

"Gentlemen, if there are no questions, this meeting is adjourned. Let's stay in touch for humanity's sake," Akira said.

"I'll speak with you soon," Ibara said, ending the call.
"You've planned this well, Akira," Yuko said. "How far does your plan go?"

"I knew what would happen up to a point," Akira replied. "The 'how' is irrelevant."

Yuko knew he was holding back.

"When does your knowledge end?" she asked.
"About an hour ago," Akira said nonchalantly.

"Everything's changed. I don't know the future."
Yuko realized she needed to be more involved.

"What's the worst-case scenario?" she asked.

"A religious cult could rise," Akira replied. "People turn to a higher power in desperate times. A fanatic cult could destroy everything."
Yuko felt a chill.

"That's just a theory, a game theory," Akira said, standing up.

"Was that a reference to something?" Yuko asked.

"Yep, a thing I used to say," he replied with a smile. "Let's eat. We can talk in the kitchen."

...

...

...

"This world is ours!" Shido grinned, stepping forward. "The weak are unfit, but the strong inherit the world! Everything is ours for the taking!"

His followers cheered. Shido, along with his former cellmates, had found a group of armed looters. Convincing desperate men was easy. Soon, he'd have an army, and no one could stop him.

A/N So I've been inconsistent more so than usual, because my father had a stroke. And as his first born son I'm expected to take of him. Since he doesn't have insurance and I don't have enough money to hire someone to take care of him so it's up to me. Family keeps saying they are holding a meeting soon but nothing has happened yet. Feeding, bathing and other stuff is all up to me.

My Father lived alone, his neighbour is the one who found him on the floor. Long story short I arrived to a house without food. We don't pay rent(thank god) since he owns the house. Groceries are paid for by you my beautiful and wonderful Patreons. Some people left so they won't see this but from the bottom of my heart...

Thank you for being patient with me. You've all been a good health.

Now regarding Doomsday preppers, updates will be slow but they'll be coming. Since a lot of people on QQ voted against enhanced and super zombies I decided to make factions. Some good, some bad but a lot of back stabbing.

Again thank you so much to all of you.

I'm so tired.
