Baku Ane 2 - Prologue Patch Release
Added 2022-06-09 14:25:37 +0000 UTCThis patch covers the entirety of the prologue, up until you start choosing which girl to have lessons with. It includes one ero scene with each of the three main heroines, and one threesome scene (Plus a short scene with the girlfriend too).
The patch files consist of the message.dat, which is the translated script, and 3 other files which change the font. If everything is working correctly the font should look like this.
Please note that this doesn't include any UI translation as I'm still a long way from finishing that.
INSTALLATION
Take the 4 files from inside the Patch Files folder and place them inside the game's directory (ie. where you've installed it. 'Start.exe' is located there.) Replace message.dat when prompted.
IMPORTANT NOTES
When launching the game, please keep Direct X checked (It's selected by default), as the font might not display correctly if DIB is selected.
If the font still isn't displaying properly, try double-clicking on the Hoshi.ttf file and installing it. Although I believe it should work fine even if you don't do this.
The game should work fine whether you keep the default name for the protagonist or not.
I'm aware that the text for the ero scenes isn't always the most legible due to the text window changing to a light pink color. I'm working on improving it with the upcoming UI patch.
Please note that the untranslated Japanese text for the rest of the game does not display properly with this patch. If for whatever reason you want to restore the Japanese text, then you should keep a copy of the old message.dat before you replace it with the patch. Then simply remove the 4 patch files from the games directory and restore the original message.dat.
