Supporter Newsletter - February

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! We are slowly inching our way out of the cold and into the Spring soon enough. I hope that you have all been staying warm and out of the snow. :P It already seems like the new year is going by so fast with us already being 1 month in. There's so much we have in store for this year and we can't wait!

January has been a great month with a couple of sad departures from our Moderator Team. Unfortunately, Dash and Super Serious PJ have both stepped down and we wish them nothing but the best on their future endeavors. Along with that, we've been working on some slight restructuring within our upper staff on our current processes to improve our flow. We'll be continuing to do our best to make sure that we're able to provide you all with the best community possible so with that, it will require us to make sure we're ship shape.

I wanted to briefly mention that during January we seen our first ever Sea of Thieves Community Day right at the end of the month. Unfortunately, myself and many others were unable to actually enjoy the community day due to such large volumes of people joining in to play. Even without being able to fully immerse myself and enjoy the game, it was still a very eventful 24 hours with so many people playing here with us in Requiem. We can't wait for the next community day so that we can really bring more fun for you all when it happens again.

Okay, let's jump into our expenses for the month of January. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for January has gone towards Staff Benefits (%32) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%6) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (42%) which goes to exactly what you'd think. Some of January''s expenses were us catching up from so many giveaways and events we hosted the month before as well.

Finally, I would like to give you all the heads up that we will be hosting our first Charity Event of this year at the end of this month. Mark your calendars for February 26th. We will also be hosting these Charity Events now every 2 months to bring the community together and raise money for such great causes. Along with this as well, starting this year, all Charity Supporters will now have the benefit to stay updated on everything to do with these charities and what they're working on.

Hey there, Plucky here. If feels like just the other day we were putting up Christmas decorations, and while many people have taken their decorations down, I have yet to do so. Christmas in February anyone?

The new year is in full swing, and we have seen one of the biggest changes to our event structuring and preparations yet. The Event Team is no longer an Officer team here at Requiem, with many of those staff members moving over to different teams and positions. This has been done in order to ensure that our events are being created by the people who engage with our community and our various games every day. Expect some awesome Events to be on the horizon very soon!

I am still doing my normal duties but will now be taking on the role of Requiem’s Event Coordinator. This means that I will have greater engagement with our community on both a staff and member level, so feel free to reach out to me should you ever have any event questions, suggestions or concerns. My DMs are always open!

We have introduced our much anticipated Flag Farming Event to our February lineup, and our Minecraft and FiveM teams have been hard at work on some awesome content which will be revealed later down the line! We have also increased the number of Charity Events that we have each year to now happen every two months, with the first Charity Stream of 2022 happening on February 26th. It will definitely not be one you will want to miss!

The year has only just started, and we have so much more in store for the community as the year progresses! As always, stay awesome, stay healthy, keep an eye on our event schedule, and have the most epic 2022 possible!

Hello beautiful buccaneers,

over the last year Rare's been regularly releasing new content for the game. This has come through seasonal content and more substantial updates, with one of the biggest updates being the Sea of Thieves Anniversary update that dropped in 2019 and added a slew of new features for fans to enjoy.

And it looks like they're not slowing down in 2022. On the contrary, Rare is going to keep adding regular content drops, new ways to play, and more. The Sea of Thieves 2022 roadmap shows us exactly to expect from everyones favourite pirate game this year, which includes the new Adventures and Mysteries, Sea Fort raids, and so much more.

Each new season of Sea of Thieves in 2022 will include some similar content. We can look forward to three new Sea of Thieves Adventures every season, as well as ongoing Mysteries, monthly Emporium content, new Plunder Passes with new rewards, and special Community Day events. However, each season will also be headlined by the addition of some substantial new content making its way to Sea of Thieves. Starting with new Pirate Legend content.

While Rare has provided a roadmap, it should be noted that not all of the content listed in it has had a deep dive just yet. Considering this, some of the new Sea of Thieves content coming in 2022 is rather vague at the time of this writing. But Rare has been much more open about what Sea of Thieves fans can expect with the upcoming Season 6, set to launch in March 2022, bringing with it Sea Forts and other new content.

I'm looking forwards to the new adventures getting started a little earlier than Season 6, with the first one set to kick off in February in the form of the limited-time Shrouded Islands Adventure, available in the game from February 17 to March 3 giving us a glimpse of what to expect this year - so stay tuned!
