OOOOOHHHH that's why Lyra keeps switching with hand she fires with. It's not because Meg wasn't keeping track of it - it was a conscious and purposeful decision made from the very beginning of the comic! Wow, she's such a genius. And so pretty, too. Golly.

2017-08-22 09:42:10 +0000 UTCIs Meg left-handed? My mother-in-law is ambidextrous and always wondered why people would complain about their hands hurting after an essay-rich exam. When one hand got tired you just switched. Easy! After she got into an intense medical doctor program, she actually became right-hand dominant and no longer uses her left to write or sew. But she remembers how obvious the solution to writer's cramp was and was truly surprised to learn that very few people could actually do what she did so naturally as a child.
