Update: Spider-Man Books!

HEY GANG!

It's been a hot minute since there's been word about physical copies of the Spidey books, so I'm very happy to be able to return with a big update for you.

The last we talked, the books were about to arrive and I was all prepped and ready to send them back out to you guys as soon as they got here. However, the orders I received had some printing/page order errors, as seen below:

I reached out to the publisher about the issue, and it turns out the extra fancy lamination I added to the orders at their representative's suggestion bumped all the pages around, resulting in the above products. Neither the representative nor I had the genius idea to DOUBLE CHECK THE ORDER (big brain time), so they were delivered in the above condition.

Luckily, the printer offered to reprint/resend a new order to me at no additional cost, which is pretty dang nice of them. (If you're looking to self publish something, Mixam does great work.)

All of this to say, the new books arrived and THEY LOOK GREAT. I'm ready to get things underway, at last!

I'm helping a friend move today, but tomorrow I'd like to focus on getting some original artwork in a couple of these guys and get all the charity auctions set up on eBay, which will go live on Wednesday.

I'll find some time during the week to organize and prep all the different batches, which I'll put signatures in. Signed Copies will go up on Etsy one week after the Charity auctions start (so, next Wednesday). As a reminder: you guys will get first dibs, via the process outlined in the last posts about this subject (TLDR: you guys are given the dates ahead of time, I won't promote the listings/links until I receive 20 orders after posting them here first, etc).

I still have all these misprinted books that I'm trying to figure out what to do with - right now my best idea is to sell them AT COST, maybe with a bonus goodie in there to keep the Mouse Lawyers from coming after me, and donate all the proceeds to charity as well (probably a local food bank). I don't want to sign them, though.... they're not up to my standards and I don't feel comfortable putting a signature on them for that.

If you guys have any better ideas or suggestions as to what to do with the Error Books, please let me know! I am open to ideas.

Okay, thanks again for your patience regarding this! I'm excited to get these out to everyone.

Haaaahahahaha! I was going to call them "Erorr Copies" for funsies, but I do like "Glitched Copy" too!

Super excited, and glad that the reprinting went smoothly!

Not gonna lie, it would be pretty funny and cool to have one of oopsies and someplace where a signature might go there is instead a round red ink stamp that says something like "GENUINE GLITCH COPY misprinted with love ❤️".

Woo! eHigh-fives, Meg!

Woo! Not sure how kosher having the error books at a convention would be, but if possible an addon to con purchases beyond a certain amount? Is all the info there, just shifted some pages, still in order? Could probs easily do the at cost method if so. Also, if you ever wanted them to show up randomly in coffee shops or hangouts around NYC like some kind of book cryptid... I could always use the exercise

Haha happy to help!

There's an idea! Some bonus copies for the charity auction winners to give to friends, or offset the solo Vol1 or Vol2 that they get. I like that!

I definitely wouldn’t mind buying one of the error books (as well as one of the reprinted ones if I can!) so excited!!! Maybe you could include some of the error books in the winning bids, or you could sell them at a lower price 🤷
