Map Pack #21: Motel

May I humbly present, my take on a classic American roadside motel with an apartment for the owner/operators.
I was inspired primarily by this image of the Crystal Pool Motel, in Crystal Beach Ontario, Canada. (Boy, there are some great motel pictures out there, including inexplicable postcards).
The heyday of this kind of ‘Motor Hotel’ was the 50’s and 60’s (hence the ‘Vintage’ variation).
Then Superhighways led to a massive decline (hence the ‘Abandoned variation).
There’s also an ‘Empty’ motel for those who’d rather do their own interior decorating.
In the offseason, I imagined the owners taking the opportunity to get some pool repairs done. They also put all the houseplants in the lobby to make it easy to care for them.
This map is 2940 × 2590 px, with a 70 px (5’) grid, 42 x 37 squares.
