Reorg: Tuesday

When Cassie got into work, the reorg manual clutched to her chest like a holy talisman. She looked around and tried to figure the issue.

There was something wrong with the lobby. She bit her lip. Something… something…

Was off. She could see the other gir—women, understood it. One of the secretaries was looking around like she had never seen the place4 before.

Then she blinked. There was a wrapper on the floor!

Just sitting there. Disgusting! Throwing everything out of whack!

I can bitch at the cleaning staff…

But then, she remembered…

“But you can’t leave it to the cleaning staff, and only a very greedy office-lady would consider that. After all, doesn’t the cleaning staff work hard as well? Don’t you think they have better things to do than just clean up after people who leave dusty desks and dirty floors?”

They did have better things to do. After all, the cleaning staff did important stuff, using the floor waxer and making certain all the tables were just gleaming in the morning and ensuring that nothing was missing from the bathroom.

Suddenly she lunged forward, just before the secretary made a run at the offending wrapper, her tits jiggling under her shirt. But Cassie got it first whipping it off the ground.

“Got it!” she said, ignoring the secretary's glare.

The girl needed to remember that Cassie was a department head.

The men did. One actually clapped as she walked the offending wrapper to the trash can and put it in, making certain that everyone saw her.

Once, Cassie would have been offended at the way the man clapped, probably said something about how disrespectful it was.

But how could it be disrespectful? She was helping keep the place clean. A good office girl made certain that the place of business was clean, sparkling and shining on every surface…

“Because of that, we need to understand that it is our duty to serve the office by helping keep it clean. We can even help the men keep their offices clean because well, we may find that we office-ladies have a gift for cleaning.”

And that was right. It’d called out to her, right away.

So with that Cassie walked off to her office, and if she was swaying her hips a little more… well, it wasn’t like it was wrong to remind people she was an officelady…

On the way up, she noticed more girls with cleaning materials. In fact, Wanda passed her, a bottle in one hand, a roll of paper towels in another.

“Hey Wanda, what’s wrong?” Cassie asked.

“My… windows. They’re terrible. They’ve got grime all over them.” Wanda didn’t look like her normal composed self. She looked like she was about to freak. “And I didn’t notice until John came in earlier today and he was just… looking at the windows like he was wondering what kind of woman just can’t keep her office clean!” Now Wanda looked like she was about to cry. “I gotta go and get this done. I just got the last bottle in the closet… I gotta go!” she turned and practically ran down the hallway.

Cassie bit her lip. The last? What if my office is…  She didn’t hesitate, turning and running. If her office had bad windows she might be able to get out and buy some cleanser…

But when she opened her door, her windows looked…

Clean. Perfect, the morning light shining down on her desk…

Her messy desk.

Cassie bit her lip at how terrible it looked, papers just strewn over it, little bits of dust marring the look of the wood, even some stains from coffee that she’d just let spill.

Cassie moaned in despair. Who would be interested in keeping an office girl on when she couldn’t even keep her office clean. But…

“C’mon, c’mon…” She opened the closet,  and sighed in relief. Inside there were clothes and a bottle of polish. Not just that, but a little floor vac. She could fix everything up. She could…

And at the rear of the little closet, there was…

An apron?  It was white, frilly, the kind of thing a maid would wear if she didn’t want to make herself look bad in front of your…

Boss. Or your coworker. After all, it wouldn’t do for her to get dirty while she was cleaning her office. Because a clean office was a good office.

A clean office was a good office.

“A clean office is a good office!” Cassie said to the empty air. She carefully put the apron on and there was just a… thrill. She made certain her jacket was hung to the side, out of the way where it wouldn’t get dirty.

There was even a scarf, and she put it over her hair, and then stared at herself in the mirror.

She looked good. Proper. The kind of woman… who could keep an office neat.

And with that, Cassie got to work. The first step was to organize her papers, making certain that each one was in its proper place, no mess.

Then it was time to polish her desk. Cassie made certain to get the entire desk top clean, until the wood just gleamed in the light. But why stop there?  The sides of the desk also needed cleaning and it didn’t bother her to get on her knees, bending forward, ass in the air as she cleaned the sides and legs, and most importantly, the underside of the desk.

Just because nobody saw it meant you could accept it being dirty. That was just… not done!

Thirty minutes later, she was done, but then it was time to vacuum the floor. The sound of the vacuum, the way it was vibrating in her hand, was oddly comforting. Cassie ran it over the carpet once, a quick move to get rid of any dust, and then turned it up, moving slower, watching as the vacuum went over the floor, pulling up nearly invisible flecks of dust.

How disgusting, that she’d let her office get so terrible. No wonder some men didn’t want to visit her. Who would want to visit a pigsty?

But finally, she was finished. She looked down at the vacuum and then walked back to the closet and put it in its charging rack.

Huh. I never noticed that before. Did someone install it?  Maybe they understand just how important cleaning things were—of course, it was the reorg.  Letting them know that the reorg wanted a clean and tidy office…

Then Cassie blinked and in a panic detached the collection cylinder. She shivered. What if she’d forgotten that. She stared at it, at the almost quarter-inch collection of dust in it, before she went to the trash can and cleaned the cylinder, before reattaching it to the vacuum.

She looked around and smiled. The office was clean. Staring at herself in the mirror, she patted down the apron, smoothing a lock of hair that had escaped from the pink scarf. There was something… Nice about that. A woman standing in the room she’d cleaned, and made ready for the business… And the men.

And come to think of that…

Cassie licked her lips. Right. She could also help Tom.

And there was no sense taking off her apron for the short time it’d take to get to Tom’s office.

As Cassie walked through the hallway, she didn’t see many female workers. She could hear the sounds of vacuums inside the offices, and once she passed a secretary vacuuming the hallway with a big industrial vacuum. The woman’s apron was pink, her ass pressing against her skirt as she pushed the vacuum down the hallway.

Cassie approved. That was the kind of forward looking attitude that got people kept on even after a reorg.

She knocked on Tom’s door, the sound timid even to her ears.

“Come in.”

Cassie walked in and Tom looked at her from his desk, eyes widening before he shook his head.

“Hear to read my manual?”

Cassie shuddered. Once had been enough. That was the reorg manual for the men.

“No, I was just wondering…” She looked around. “I mean, we need to keep the place clean…”

“And you’re dressed for it. Nice maid’s outfit.”

For a moment, Cassie opened her mouth to protest, but then a rush of satisfaction filled her. It was good that Tom understood that she wasn’t just some lazy woman who’d show up in anything.

“So why don’t you get to cleaning and I’ll just sit back and watch you do your job…” Tom said. He was smiling.

Cassie flushed, and then went to his closet and there, as in hers, was cleaning material.

She got it, and got to work, aware of the way Tom watched her as she carefully polished his desk, making certain not to disturb his papers, even as she got every single bit of dust. Then it was time for the windows, and the walls, and after that, vacuuming the floor.

Cassie focused on her work, but once she caught Tom checking out her ass.

She wiggled it a little.

And then she was finished and put everything back.

“Wonderful Cassie!”

“Thanks… um about our meeting?”

“Don’t you worry your little head about it,” Tom said. “It’s almost closing time, and you’d better get back to your office. We can talk tomorrow… after we read the next chapter.”

Cassie shivered at the thought of the book, not knowing what was coming. “Yes.”

“Also, we’ll be putting some knew facilities in on Fifth and sixth floors. They’re just storage anyway.”

“Wait—what?”

“Eh, don’t worry about it. Who knows, you may find something to clean in your office.”

Cassie was about to say something, but he was right. She could get a quick pass with the vacuum in.

“Thanks, bye!” Cassie said.

Tom waved, and another thrill filled Cassie.

On the way back to her office, she heard Wanda’s voice. “I’m sorry Sir, but I’ll make certain to have all the windows done tomorrow!” There was a hint of a whine in her voice.

Serves you right. We need to be serious about keeping our place clean. If we don’t, what would the men think? And with that, Cassie headed back to her office.
