They're the main reason why for a almost nonexistent to small creator like me it's hard to invest time and energy on this platform: because you're never sure if your efforts will be repaid at the end of the month.

Patreon should charge as soon as you become a patron, discouraging the content-grabbing users, that maybe even leave big bucks to some "hot" name that posts a sketch every two months, but leaves you after a month because they expect a crap-ton of content from you (who most likely have a dayjob).

Now, I know I should post more, but I try to do my best with every single pic I post here.

Maybe I'm making too big a deal out of this...

Have a nice weekend, folks!

P.S.  My goal was to post something every week here.

I discovered that it's easier for me, in terms of schedule, to post everything I can during the first and the last weeks of each month (more or less).

That option wasn't available for me until...now. I just checked and set that option on! Finally it's not beta anymore! Thanks! ;)

There's an opinion to 'charge up front'. I put it into play after a string of hit and runs last summer.

I know you got my back, bud! ;) I'll never thank you enough for your support!

No problem on you being busy. You got my support. :D

Exactly! Since Patreon changed their rules, you see less fake accounts/bots, but the amount of legit accounts that take a seat without ordering - so to speak - got bigger. Some would say: they have every right to stick around just to see how you work and such. True, BUT...like you, I have a dA, a tumblr, a pixiv account with plenty of "free" art, so plenty of stuff there for supporters to realize what type of work we do, what's our style, what our goals are, and also what work ethic we have, I dare to say. These people are taking advantage of a system flaw, nothing else.

I 1000% feel you on this. The last week of the month is always a deluge of notifications about new “supporters”, usually at the top tiers, and I’m always like “Let’s see how long this sticks...” 😑
