Hello everyone.

I will be ranting in this post so TLDR; I might not be on this platform much longer as they are starting to require an identification. I will keep everyone posted about the future!

So here we go with my rant!

Today I want to talk about this post

"Age & Identity Verification (applicable to ALL creators categorized as adult/18+)"

First of all, I agree with the principle that all adult/18+ creators should be adults and preferably confirmed to be so. It is important that children are not exploited and are protected from adult material. That being said, here are my issues.

Patreon claims they announced this last month but I do not see any specific announcement from a month ago.

It was either well hidden under the sea of other changes and Q&A stuff and I didn't see it. OR they never emailed about it in the first place. I am assuming it is the first one.

Either way, this is a major change and it should have been front and center as this will affect every single 18+ creator on this platform. They are expecting that everyone have an ID they can provide on this short notice.

How can Mastercard have so much control over Patreon? Can they just push and pull patreon around like they please and how can I trust a company like that?

I am getting real tired of this platform and how much they changed. There were times when I could focus on drawing and what my back up plan is when my time comes to get kicked off the platform for a reason or another.

So in preparation for this I have created SubscribeStar account. Nothing has been posted yet but I will be uploading my future art and animations there as well.

I am on Picarto where I stream. Picarto recently introduced galleries and I can post subscriber only art there which I am very excited!
