Foregone Fables Dust Alloys Guide - Plant

But recently, the brilliant minds of Atlas have come together and created a Dust Alloy that is not only utterly unlike its component, but unlike every other type of Dust: Plant Dust.
Made of a combination of Earth and Electricity Dust, Plant Dust was created too recently to be found in nature, and is used by Atlesian huntsmen and huntresses who get their supply from the military, but in recent years has been smuggled out of the kingdom by the likes of Amoncio Glass and the followers of Starro. It is either solid or liquid depending on the individual user's preferences. Plant Dust is also used for agricultural purposes to grow plants in the sky city of Atlas, and to a lesser degree, the rest of the world. Due to the short time for which Nature Dust has existed, its full capabilities are not as well-understood as other types of Dust, with the possible exception of Dark Dust.
When triggered near an existing surface, Life Dust covers a portion of that surface with common grass. If triggered above ground, it generates a cluster of common, ordinary vines instead. If it is fused into a user's own body, Plant Dust causes their body to be covered in a wooden layer resembling a tree's bark, which can act as a form of camouflage in a forest-like environment. It also enhances the user's endurance, provides them with nourishment (similar to having eaten a large amount of fruit or vegetables), greatly enhances their body's natural healing and allows them to grow tree branches and vines out of their body.
Controlled use of Plant Dust is incredibly versatile, as it can control the type, size and species of the plants it produces, and can even be used to manufacture new types of plants on the fly; It has been theorized that it can also be used to create other organisms as well, such as fungi, microbes and even live animals, although so far this has not been confirmed. It is incredibly useful in agriculture, as it can plant numerous crops and completely mature them in seconds; In battle, Life Dust can be used to weaponize the plants in numerous ways, ranging from binding and striking people with vines and branches to poisoning them, and even growing plants inside another person's body to rip them to shreds from the inside out. Vines and roots can be used to dig tunnels or tear apart buildings, and insect traps can be enlarged to devour humans and Grimm. It can be used to communicate over long distances by sending an avatar of the user made of plants, as well as to use trees and vines as shields. Life Dust can also use plants - whether on the user's person or from a distance - as animate limbs to interact with objects.
Nature Dust can also be used to produce makeshift weapons and tools made out of plants, such as thorny whips, razor-sharp petals, corrosive plant acids, bloodsucking roots, smoke screens, chemical explosions, bioluminescent plants that can be used as lamps, flowers that vacuum objects and enemies, blades made of condensed thorny roots or sharpened leaves, wings and gliders made of leaves, plants that have healing properties, and thorns used as darts.
Plant Dust is capable of controlling plant matter without creating a whole plant, primarily to create objects and weapons from wood, including sharp projectile spikes or various golems in myriad shapes, which can also take on the coloration and full appearance of an existing individual, and even whole buildings and cages. The user can also use this method to disguise themself as another person by coating themself with colored wood. Similarly, Plant Dust can be used to create other types of plant matter such as fruits and vegetables, seeds, sap and spores. More unconventional plants can be used, such as flowers that can produce foul odors, pheromones, or sleep gas. The plants can be shaped into various objects, such as bamboo spears sprouting from the ground, a floating banana boat, a racket made of leaves, sharp leaf shurikens, and animal-shaped bushes who can attack enemies and cause shockwaves.
Plant Dust is the youngest of all Dust Types, and as such many people are unaware of its existence. However, the fact that it's the most recent also makes it one of the Dust Types created with the most experience and knowledge, and were able to do something which the original, bygone creators of Dust failed at: Creating life. So far only plant life, but the road from here is unbelievably short compared to the one that was already passed.
