Trainhopping to the Adriatic Sea
Added 2022-04-27 18:25:09 +0000 UTCWhen I was in the Czech republic on my journey from Belgium to Hungary I saw a pretty interesting train in the yard, I went to check it out and I read on the transport papers that the train was going to Koper, a coastal city in Slovenia. I imagined it would be a nice route and I kept it in mind.
Now that the weather is a bit warmer, I decided it was a good time to execute the plan. I went to my friend Aki in Vienna, he knew a spot in town where the train would stop for a brief moment. Unfortunately, the train didnโt show up, later we found out that it never left the yard in the Czech Republic, it was sided out and probably had some technical problems. Luckily, a train in a similar direction showed up. It was going to the city next to Koper, Trieste, in Italy. We boarded the train and started an amazing journey to the coast.
