The hounds had caught a scent, something familiar yet foreign. They'd tracked it's path on nimble feet, their master following close behind, his weapon gripped tight in a leather clad fist.
His other hand extended to clear away the branches blocking the way, focussed on keeping his flock in line, which seemed to grow more and more feral by the minute. The dogs we're frothing at this point, growling at what lay curled up at the base of a hawthorn bush.
He stared at the creature, obviously feminine and trembling from fright, her eyes darting between the pack of hounds and its leader.

Man I looove painting nature!!! I've never done branches this way so that was super neat to try out (As well as kinda nerve wracking) This was an idea I'd had in my head since summer and I'm just really happy to have finally gotten to it!
I hope you like the little story, I wanna keep it up to the viewer to decide on what happens next, altho I wouldn't be oppossed to drawing up some more for this lost sheepy Max & hunter Rick!
Also this painting irl is really big (A4 is big for me), so big in fact that the dpi that I usually scan things at made the file too big to edit on my computer so I had to scan at a lower dpi. Sorry if it's really grainy, I might rescan it later and try to make it work somehow! But for now I just really wanted to post it because I'm pretty happy with it!
Enjoy ;3
