Altho doing the foliage almost made me lose it, I loved painting this one. I’ve found that whenever I’m painting for the Roman au, the painting will always inevitably turn out huge. There’s to much pretty architecture to play around with, not allowing me to keep it small and minimal like my pieces for the 1930’s au 😣
Edit; forgot to add that I’ve been wanting to paint Rictus with a painted face ever since I saw it in HBO’s Rome series, always looked so cool, so here is lil victorious Rictus
I hope you like it, I’m currently working on another Roman piece and.. afterwards who knows. Right now I’m really feeling this story again so expect a bit more in March! (I have several sketches already done)
