Married ass bitches, I love them. Vic and Ric in love is the only drug I need honestly, they fully understand each other and its a delight to try and make that come through in my paintings!! My partner is currently writing some more for their relationship (as well as Hor and Ric) which I’ll share on Insta and twit soon for anyone interested!
But also, check out those QUAILS. I’m mad for quails, they’re 100% better than chickens.
The bricks were also really daunting in my mind but then turned out to be the simplest thing in this entire painting, it just took a moment of figuring out the effect I wanted.
Partner also helped me with the color sceme. I didn’t want to repeat the colors of that other mosaic floor painting I did, and I’m really happy how this turned out. I’d looove to use more ocre and purple, it’s one of my fav color combinations.
I hope you like this one, next I have quite a bit more Romans in the works. Some Horatius & Rictus, more Ric and Vic, and a solo piece with Junius ;3

My favorite thing about your art (I mean... Aside from like everything) is how you put all these details into your characters so they don't only have mental personality but physical personality as well. The scars and dimples and things like you KNOW that's them and you recognize those things. Also I am in love with the gold accents of everything. The big hang on his neck uffhhh 👉👈 Joelle,,,,

I’d intended for it all to be mosaic but I quickly ran into the trouble of ‘…well what the heck do I fill it with’, so I opted for something simpler like the brick. I feel it keeps the sides interesting without crowding the rest of the painting! What I did use a ref for were the quail and chicks! Altho it was my idea to have them marching one after the other haha
