This au is supposed to be dark and grim and kinda eery, but gouache just makes literally everything… soft. And I kinda am in love with it. This entire painting is done in gouache. I set myself a challenge to try and use this medium more and I’m actually having a great time!! I bought some newer paint tubes because some of my older ones are completely dried up from limited use.
But I’m super happy to get back to this sorta thing, even if the mood if very clearly.. bright. I guess that’s another challenge for future pieces, trying to make something grittier and darker.
