It's interesting that you used short loops to create a metallic sound. I've done a lot of thinking about why different materials make different sounds. I think the more ordered the structure of the material, the more tonal it can be. Metal, stone and glass are all crystals, which means they have a very ordered structure. I think that is why they resonate more easily. When you make a short loop of noise, you are creating a repeating pattern over time, which is effectively a kind of time crystal, and I think this is why it sounds metallic. Concrete has a tone, but it's not as defined as something like glass, which is much more ordered, at least I think. Anyway, maybe this is all wrong, but it got me thinking again, which I'm sure was your intention

Another one for hats (or maybe more) is loading a second or so of noise as an IR in MconvolutionMB and S&H modulating the "start" and "end" ms parameters so that they stay a few ms apart, thereby capturing a unique, random part of the noise IR through which enveloped white noise can be filtered.
