Producer | Tutorial : The Tide
Added 2021-12-04 22:23:30 +0000 UTCHello Producing Person,
As mentioned earlier this week, we're a few days late, but....bring you something special!
Nik, Thijs and Martijn go back in time for 'The Tide'. The 2005 Noisia single that started VISION. They go through the Cubase project and reminisce over a selection of photos from their 'studio' at the time.
We hope you'll enjoy this one and if you want, please let us know your thoughts!

I still would really love how that bass, which is also in brainstich, was done. It still is to me THE iconic Noisia bass sound

2022-01-03 21:04:29 +0000 UTCYeah. Epic. But definitely, the distorted midrange that’s missing, which also found the way into Brainstitch, is the reason I got obsessed. I hope you’ll manage to find this one day. Great Video!!!

2021-12-14 22:25:16 +0000 UTCthis was sick !!! just amazing. I would love to see a walkthrough of an old noisia project you have all of the sounds for Where you could recreate the Bass, FX, and Synth in one video maybe? like the proper Gnarly twisty dark stuff! :P

2021-12-06 23:03:37 +0000 UTCIsn't that just where you load two of the same bass sample, then very subtly pitch modulate one of them? Gives like a comb/flange effect I think

2021-12-05 03:35:15 +0000 UTCHow cool is that?! I think this is gonna be my favorite tutorial as all of you gathered to relive the old memories just as you are about to do the last liveshow :) And I am looking forward to maybe even see how you made the (men)tasm sounds in The Tide, which I was curious about all the time!

2021-12-05 00:41:41 +0000 UTCAwesome! Been waiting for it for a loong time. Golden era of neurofunk, can't really recall anything remotely good as this one. As complex as it needs to be, dense, but with a good story, perfectly mixable with things like Block Control or Moonway Renegade (also a meme tune, lol). But what's wrong with Concussion tho? Sausage looking drop? :D (I think there is also that Concussion VIP, which, apparently, was made drunk or something)
