2025-09-11 08:41:14 +0000 UTCIt's not actually a crane. It's called a Garage Gator. It's a light-duty winch for storing kayaks and bicycles. It was put there by the previous owner, and it's not actually good for much. The weight limit is only 250 lbs.

That is so cool! • Of course, I watch Cutting Edge Engineering, and Vintage Machinery .org, to name just two other maker channels, and THEY have all kinds of cranes & hoists. • But seeing your hoist surprised me as if I’d seen a hoist in use at the atelier of the French Watch Collector or workshop of Wristwatch Revival, 😉‼️
