New Comic: Friday 💥
Added 2022-11-11 20:12:44 +0000 UTCToday I woke up and made this comic. Yesterday I realised that I haven't posted a comic publicly (outside of Patreon) in over a month. Earlier I would worry about being inconsistent a lot but my life has changed so much in the last month alone. It's put into perspective what I've been struggling to get into perspective.
I've felt wobbly about my internet presence for the last couple of years and I've been feeling the need to anchor myself more to the offline world as I started to feel disconnected from life itself. I love the internet but I almost forgot I could love the life outside of it more actively alongside!
I want to make whatever I want to make without letting instagram dictate how I make it. I've wanted to focus more on printed comics since 2020 but the coming year I plan to do more of that. It's nice to hold stuff in your hands.
Ok anyway. So today, i printed this comic and ventured out on my scooter and stuck it in random spots in my neighborhood and a little further away from my neighborhood. It made me feel so alive and like I was living in a place with people who do things. I wasn't questioned, everyone was minding their own business and so was I. I was a bit nervous about it but the more I did it, the safer I felt.
I remember watching Noddy (the kid's show) and I just want the sense of community that you feel from watching Noddy. All of the characters live in the same town and share their lives in little ways. All of us in the real world do it too but I wish we were more aware of it everyday 🥲
