This is not a Patreon video because it is sponsored, so I'm just sharing this with you because I think it's AWESOME!! Google has a pretty great sense of humor, eh? I was so happy they were so supportive of me genuinely expressing how I feel about translation technology, questioning it and celebrating it for what it can (and can't) do.

Seeing how Google Translate is what brought you to us (to think we may never have known about you otherwise would have been a real tragedy), it makes sense to give it some support. YOU probably have done more to promote GT than anyone else, even if was just for fun. It's great that Google recognizes that 😀

2017-12-09 08:14:31 +0000 UTCTbh despite all the blurb they talk about how they're saving the creator fees, using the excuse that creators want up front payment - it would be just as viable to let people subscribe at any point in the month and force a single billing on the 1st as you do now but note FORCE so they can't sub, view all your stuff then quit without paying that 1st payment. Delayed payments are easy for them to do and avoid their silly graphic about fees every other day. Everyone wins. Instead they basically move the fee to patrons AND add a .38c charge PER TRANSACTION which could be multiple times per month per patreon you support. 38c is nothing on a $25 sub but on $1 subs it's 38% extra!
