I can finally release this! It's a little video where I explain the history of the Skye Boat song and my process for turning the song into what I did :). I hope you enjoy!

I first heard the song in its original Bonnie Prince Charlie version as a preteen while touring Scotland, visiting family there in Anstruther on the north-east coast (and Loch Ness, where the real monsters are biting midges!). Later, back in England, I sang the hymn with the same tune. Now living in British Columbia, Canada, I can’t help but hum it while driving the Sea to Sky Highway! 😃

Your version is absolutely gorgeous, and speaks so powerfully of the grief that comes with times of transition: we lose parts of ourselves, but we're growing into who we're meant to be––this song captures all of that so beautifully.
