Hello my amazing and wondrous patrons.
We hit 1 million subscribers this morning while I was having breakfast with my parents, my grandmother, my uncle and his wife. They kept yelling at me to refresh my analytics, and then we all yelled and celebrated (selfie above shortly after).
It still amazes me that almost 6 years ago some of you internet friends let me into your lives and allowed me to create a career for myself that turned out to be such an incredible combination of all my interests. On top of that, it pushed me to learn MORE about all the things I loved and to do them better. I couldn't ask for a more joyful job, and you all gave me that. Thank you thank you.
And as my patrons, you are the reason I have been able to do things on my own terms; higher production values, take creative risks by adding "Translator Fails" to Google Translate Sings, starting the MALINDA channel, the freedom to make the things that I believe add to the world in a positive way. I wouldn't be able to do that at the rate and level that I do now if you weren't here. You are an integral part of #TeamMalinda, always have been, and always will be.
We've been doing this on Discord a little, but if you have any specific memories of Translator Fails videos or situations please do post them below. Those are the moments that I just love hearing about.
I'm going to celebrate by unpacking my apartment (lol) and getting myself a baritone ukulele tomorrow to make more music for you :D I can't wait for what's to come.
Lots of love and appreciation for YOU!
xxMKR
