A demo for you to hear!
Added 2020-08-17 00:33:16 +0000 UTCHello my amazing patrons!
This is a new song that I really really like. This is just a late night demo with my VERY cursory piano playing and very quiet singing because neighbors. Johnny will make the piano part better, and for production we won't do too too much more? Maybe a little to fill it out in places but I want this song to be soooo simple.
Figured I'd let y'all hear it and maybe I'll work it up to sing live for the next livestream maybe possibly?
By the way, I'm having the urge to livestream more than usual. So I'm thinking maybe starting next month I'll try two a month! But for now let's plan on a stream this Saturday the 22nd at 2pm EST.

2020-08-17 19:14:23 +0000 UTCLovely. Not the same kind of loss, my mother died recently, but a lot of resonances in this song with how I am feeling.

2020-08-17 09:57:48 +0000 UTCOK, you've gone and made me cry now. This beautiful piece conjures up memories of so many past relationships that didn't work out, even though I'm happily married now. I agree with you and the others that keeping it simple is best. So is this song a goodbye ode to 'Loving You Loving Me'? <-- (uses humour to hide his embarrassment at letting a song get to him like that)

2020-08-17 02:48:32 +0000 UTCOh wow, this is so bittersweet. I don't think you need to do anything more, the piano works really well and makes your voice stand out while keeping the silent mood.

2020-08-17 00:59:40 +0000 UTCThat was beautiful. Always nice to hear you harmonizing with the local clone choir. I kinda feel a somewhat quieter singing might actually suit this song quite well.

2020-08-17 00:47:19 +0000 UTCI also like the mellotrony sound of the piano. These lyrics.. I wonder just what kind of sadness precipitated them

2020-08-17 00:43:23 +0000 UTCFirst listen comments.. I appreciate how even in a simple late night demo this involves so much vocal layering. This song is really beautiful. I'm actually noticing a slight resemblance to Donna Lewis's "now and forever". (totally not a bad thing)
