New video that's a little heavy

Hello my amazing patrons,

This week's video is a story I've wanted to share forever because it's really important to me that I raise awareness.  Had I known about ARFID earlier I would not have suffered for so long.

I'll be answering questions about it on Instagram and there are some resources in the description.

Thank you PATRONS because this content will probably not be suitable for all advertisers, so you allow me not to be afraid to share things that I think are important!

SO MUCH love and light to all of you,

xxMKR

I have never heard of ARFID before. I can understand some of your problems I too have problems not close to what you seem to have lived through. Thanks for sharing and continue to be brave.

It's remarkable how much power there is in putting a name to something.

Derek Richardson

There is so much goodness in you. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt video. I think George above basically said everything I wanted to say as well.

Thanks for being brave enough to share this Malinda, you rock! 🤩 As someone who dealt with anorexia as a teen, I'm so proud that you're working to overcome your struggles with ARFID 💜

Thank you for sharing 💜

I think it's amazing that you've been struggling with this for so long, yet you still are able to make such wonderful uplifting music and videos. So glad you've managed to find out what it is and are able to start working on overcoming it. I guess this is another example of how the internet can be a source of good despite all the negativity out there. I have a very minor version of this with mashed potatoes, so if I multiply this by 1000 I can imagine what it must be like for you. - Heh, I saw what you did there with the video when you said 'got to the root of this' - BTW, was that Great Falls? Looked a bit like the Maryland side, but I haven't been there in a while - Funny that you say you think of us as younger siblings when I think of you more like a second daughter. I'm with George above in wanting to give you a hug, so I'll send you a virtual one. - Wait, watermelon was one of the enemy foods? Are you learning to tolerate it *gradually*? :-D Seriously, keep being brave and awesome. You are definitely a force for good in the world.

It's very brave of you to share your story, and I highly respect you for it. You're right, being open about it and sharing your story can be of great aid to those who may still be struggling with it. In my experience, it can even be helpful to me dealing with my mental health. I'm glad you've found a name for it and have been getting treatment. Hope things continue to go better. Thank you for sharing your story.

Every time that I think I cannot possibly like you more, you write a puffin song or post a moving, heartfelt video like this. And the ceiling is raised again. I wish I knew you, and I wish I could give you a hug. I'm proud of you for your courage, and you have every good wish I can muster.

So brave of you to share this. I can't be sure but I think one of my housemates in uni might have been undiagnosed with this. He had to take strong Vit-C supplements because any type of vegetable made him throw up. Do you find that you can eat something as long as you don't know its in the meal but you get sick as soon as someone tells you? Because that was Doug all over. I once saw him eat a curry with every sign of enjoyment and then run to the bathroom when he found the bean tin over an hour later!

Thanks for doing this. Mental and emotional disorders are EXTREMELY hard to talk about to anyone, much less a broad audience. You’re a brave lady!

Greg Lacour

Very brave and generous of you to share. And I'd definitely never heard of this! I remember you had food allergies, but I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with all this. Glad you found a diagnosis and are getting better. ❤

Michael Avolio

Thank you for sharing this. <3 I have a ton of food allergies and have gotten to the point where I rarely eat out of the house. I don't have ARFID but have friends who do. You are wonderful. Thank you.

Mimiheart

I’ll correct it in the comments, thank you
