Sometimes things don't work out

TL;DR: I abandoned a video idea mid-production and now as a sucky pre-christmas present you get to listen to the raw audio.

-

Some time ago I finished Neon Genesis Evangelion with my teenage daughter (I try my best to see she's cultured proper) and so after End of Evangelion the plan was to watch The Rebirth-series.

I myself had never seen the new Evangelion-movies, and decided to check them out before watching them with my daughter.

And I was a bit... Distrought how horny the new movies were, and wrote a little text about it, and how weird it would be to spend some quality father-daughter-time watching them together.

Hence the short video I present you thusly.

But....

I kinda lost my swagger somewhere on the way, along with my faith in the text. Maybe not all texts need not end as videos.

It's really different from the stuff I usually write about, and I strive to keep things positive - maybe not upbeat, but still... I aimed for something tongue-in-cheeck, little on the lighter side but this weird judgemental, holier-than-thou undertone snuck in the text which I don't care for.

So to cut to the chase: I'm abandoning this video-idea for the time being (All hail the Time Being!) .

For now, it's off to new and weird things.

There are no visuals on this one, it's just the raw audio along with the music.. Most of it propably won't land without visual cues, unless your intimate with Evangelion.

But hey: it's a sad, abandoned gift horse so... Think of it as my sucky christmas present for you guys!

Would love to know what you think about this one, so if you end up listening through it, I'd appreciate a comment!

Things have been a bit rough at Mother base for few months so the videos have been on the backburner but I've gotten lots of stuff written I've excited about and can't wait to share with you!

Thank you for your support, sorry I don't have a better present for you guys!

Take care of each other and be well!

Not gonna lie, I was struggling not to wake up my sleeping daughter in those first few minutes from laughter. I think you have a good kernel here. I think it has potential, even if you leave it here.
