Patron Update | Next on Archipel & Cutscenes

Hi everyone,

We're hoping all things are well for everyone. We wanted to share a quick update on some of the content we are planning or that is currently in the works.

- Non-mainstream manga artist documentary: we're aware we're taking more time than expected, but please stay assured that this is still in the works. We have taken all the shots we needed, but still have a significant chunk of editing ahead of us.

- Illustrator Portrait | Acky Bright: We have shot a portrait of Acky Bright, a Japanese illustrator whose style mixes Katsuya Terada & Akira Toriyama. Scheduled to come out early half of next year.

- New Yoko Taro content: We will be having a talk with Yoko Taro at the beginning of next year, where we will discuss into more detail about his techniques of video game writing, from ideation to script completion.

- Animator Portrait | Mahiro Maeda: With more than half his life shared alongside Hideaki Anno, Mahiro Maeda is one of Japan's top animators, with works ranging from Nausicaä to Gankutsuou, all the way to directorial work on the latest Evangelion films. We will be following him across multiple spots where he finds his inspiration - scheduled to come out next year.

- Japanese Ambient Documentary: Depending on how long you've been following us, you probably already know we really like ambient music. This project is still in its early planning phase, but we want to create a documentary focusing on the world of Japanese ambient and its main protagonists in order to shed more light on that genre. 

- More Cutscenes content: We are in the midst of reviewing our approach on content for our Cutscenes channel, where we want to spend a bit more time on polishing our content and try our hand on longer pieces as well, after having tried a monthly, then weekly approach for the Kamiya Chronicles series. Two projects are currently already in planning, but more is scheduled to come through next year. And in case you missed it, our immediate next step will be the last chapter to our series on Hideki Kamiya, scheduled to come out on December 6th.

In addition to the above, we're spending most of our time planning ahead for next year, with a few projects that are non-video related being in the works as well.
