The Art of Seafaring in-process
Added 2022-03-02 03:50:51 +0000 UTCWe had the privilege to show our in process work of The Art Of Seafaring this past Saturday at The Shed last Friday. So many fresh perspectives and new ideas are floating around helping inform next steps as we continue our process. We loved how the audience viewing our showing grasped onto our themes of desperation, hopelessness, despair, and underlying hope. But we are thrilled for the opportunity to go further and dissect the the journey that the cast undergoes from start to finish, building in breath and space for more contemplation and reflexion within the work. We are excited to announce this month we have applied to two different festivals, one local and one international to present our newest work. The best compliment we recieved from our showing and work thus far was in regards to the text, and how the utilization of the specific poetry from HD both provided additional context for the movement as well as the poetry. As we move into March not only do we have rehearsals for The Art Of Seafaring but we begin the process for Endangered Species by Natascha Greenwalt and Jason Ohlberg as well. Featuring collaborating artists such as PnB's Leah Merchant, Robbi Moore, Alana O'Rogers, Natascha Greenwalt and more!
