Beta Update #4
Added 2022-01-19 04:20:55 +0000 UTCThe beta sticky post download links have been updated! Pre-existing saves are compatible. View the patch notes below to see what was added, fixed, and changed. This beta update mainly features a huge backend migration away from PyTK and TMX.
Warning:
- Extra Map Layers and Shop Tile Framework are now required to run Stardew Valley Expanded.
- Stardew Valley Expanded no longer needs TMX and PyTK to function. It is recommended players uninstall the frameworks if no other installed mods require them.
Content:
- Added a new character who fully replaces the previously added character (they'll come back in 2.0). The SMAPI console will inform players a character was removed from the game.
- Added a new soundtrack called "First Slash Theme".
- Players can now sleep in the bed of whoever they're dating, engaged, or married to.
- Added a catch event for Lance's 8 heart at the player's farm, steering them in the right direction.
- Another character can now join in on Krobus' 10 heart event if conditions are met.
Gameplay Changes:
- Migrated all shop data from TMX > Shop Tile Framework. Rebalanced prices and many items now have functional stock limits.
- Improved load times and stability if PyTK and TMX are uninstalled.
- Made temp actors in Krobus' 10 heart event more dynamic.
- Jace's shop at Joja Emporium no longer has rotating inventory.
- Players now need to complete the monster crop quest to trigger Krobus' 10 heart event.
- Progress gated population 10 butterfish fish pond produce (pineapple).
- Butterfish fish ponds now turn yellow.
- Changed the glow color of the void root sprite.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where void roots spawned in incorrect locations at the Highlands Cavern if conditions were met.
- Fixed an issue where players could get to the railroad from Grampleton Fields before summer 3 year 1.
- Fixed an issue where Apple's roommate location message strings were all the same.
- Fixed an issue where some players got stuck in a tree during Claire's 12 heart event.
- Fixed an issue where Drake clipped into Lance during his Wednesday schedule.
- Fixed an issue where the First Slash Guest Bed was glitched if married to Lance.
- Fixed an issue where Kent walked off the screen during his 8 heart event.
