End of the SVE 1.14.9 beta and what's next

Thanks for participating in the 1.14.9 beta and submitting your feedback and bug reports! The release is now public for all players to jump into and enjoy.

Today is also the three year anniversary of the mod. I never could have imagined it'd take off the way it did. I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for supporting me on Patreon. It really does allow me to work on SVE every single day. There's so much I still want to add to SVE, and with the modding utilities being added in the next official Stardew Valley update... I gotta say it's very exciting stuff! Speaking of which, let's get into that shall we?

Stardew Valley 1.6 will essentially be a huge modding update for the game, with an aim to "make fundamental changes to the game code to make it more extensible for mods". There is an official public modder documentation page here. Now, it isn't known yet if ConcernedApe is adding new content in this update, but there are incredible new tools that'll become available to content creators such as myself. I'll be able to add new machines, new interactable trees, season locked maps with full weather controls, better custom shops, custom wedding events, custom minecart locations, legendary fish, new C# utilities, new tile actions (such as triggering an event if a player steps on a specific coordinate), buildable farm buildings in custom locations (such as Grampleton Fields), it cuts down massively on external framework mods, adds greater stability, and more! Some of these tools are necessary to develop a new region.

Migrating SVE to be compatible will take a lot of time. Stardew Valley 1.6 is in alpha right now, and I'm planning on starting migrations once it hits beta. That date is unknown and new tools/utilities are still being added. In the meantime, I've been working on SVE 2.0... I'm not quite ready to share any pictures yet, but I do want to let you all know I am working on it and there will be a sneak peek towards the end of this month!
