JasX Survey Review Part 1

Another year, another survey. Time for a review! This year we got 280 responses, fairly close to the 300-ish we got last year.

GoThongs slightly beats BARE as the most favorited game.

Plugin usage has increased. And about half the players use OpenCollar and/or PA.

Nothing really new here. I mean GoThongs has pretty prominent soundtracks, but Firestorm is bugged and turns off media audio randomly, so that might play a part.

As far as the "other games" goes. Most popular was board games. I'm not sure if "roleplaying as an incel" counts as a game, whoever asked that. "Hyena screaming simulator" seems fun though.

RPG and MMO seems to be the most popular types of games. It would be cool to make a JasX MMORPG, if only I had the resources o/

Fantasy and sci-fi are the most popular themes.

PVE sex games are slightly more popular than PVP ones. And multiplayer is more popular than singleplayer.

The pacman of firestorm remains.

Now this was pretty interesting to me, since I intend on making FetishQuest playable on any device with a modern browser (including phones). It seems the majority at around 75% have a fairly recent phone, and most people use Android.

Windows 10 keeps taking shares from Windows 7. I love the fact that more players (6.9% at that!) use Linux than Mac. Makes me proud o/

It seems about a third would be open to playing sex games on their phones, which interests me.

Not a lot of people knew the JasX steam group existed. But that's ok because it's not really used for anything.

However, do consider joining the JasX Discord. Most of the development updates take place there nowadays, and it's the best place to suggest ideas and fetishes you'd like to see in JasX projects. Protip: Go to the get-roles channel and react to the emotes there to sign up to project update notifications.

Also if you're a $3 Patron, you get a fancy color on there and access to a secret VIP chat.

Chrome remains the most popular browser, followed by Firefox. Why 11 people still use internet explorer is beyond me. Pls stahp.

Computers remain intel/nVidia based. I'd have thought AMD would catch up on the CPU side since ryzen is fucking awesome. Also 7 people are Kadah.

The main takeaway here is that more people have F-list accounts than Facebook accounts. Makes me proud <3

Ok so the majority did "other" with the whole tumblr porn debacle. I assume at least one person did "the one penultimate fap to rule them all" the day before the shutdown. Of the places I highlighted, Twitter seemed the most popular.

Gonna skip some of the SL demographics a bit, because they've not changed much since last year. A quick rundown:

• Male:Female avatar use ratio is almost 1:1, with 54% males, and 51% females. 26% use herm/shemale avatars, and 7.9% use other. If you're wondering about the percentages, this was a multiple answer question since people can use one or more types of avatars frequently.
• 75% use furry avatars, compared to about 50% who use human avatars.
• Kemono remains the most popular mesh body.

Giving head remains the most popular talent. The 2 unmarked bars were scripting and 3d animation.

This surprised me. A whole lot of people are interested in 3d printing.
