Testers needed on FQ dev branch
Added 2022-01-10 22:27:19 +0000 UTCLast month I've been working a ton on updating the UI and combat system. For more detail, check the overhaul branch on github. But here are the main things:
- Removed primary stats (sta/int/agi).
- Added more interesting armor traits. Such as take less damage from crits, regeneration, increase max arousal, extra damage vs undead/tentacles/demons etc. There's a bunch of them.
- Some armor may have an extra trait but also a curse. Such as getting aroused when another player is bondaged, standard attacks being ripostable etc.
- Holy and elemental have been merged into Arcane. So there are now 3 damage types: Arcane, Physical, and Corruption.
- Added a block system where a player can temporarily block a number of incoming damage, and falls off at the start of your next turn.
- Lots of UI changes. Standard attacks are now grouped together, and a third arcane standard attack has been added. You now always have access to all 3 damage types, and at least 1 ranged ability in case a boss requires that.
- Updated to latest version of THREE.js and multiple performance fixes.
- Taunt will now force an enemy to attack if they can.
- You now gain 40% of your AP on turn start instead of 30%.
- Max HP is now based on nr of players on the player team, to make for slightly faster fights in multiplayer.
- Humanoids (including players) now have 2 kinks each. These will add extra arousal when certain things happen in game. DMs can change them, and you can also reroll them in a church.
- Added a baseline grapple system that's available to all players and most NPCs.
- Made monster behavior a little more predictable.
- The encounter generator should now more evenly generate encounters. Fewer fights where one monster has a ton of HP and the rest have none.
- Max arousal is now 7, down from 10.
- Arousal no longer fades in combat.
- Lowered HP regeneration from finishing a fight.
- Enemies can no longer steal armor at the end of a fight.
- Changing actions can now be done from an inventory tab. And can be done any time out of combat.
- Orgasm has been redesigned to destroy all AP and reduce AP regen for 2 turns. But no longer stuns or affects corruption resistance.
- Rebalanced most bosses.
- Added a bunch of new actions for NPCs. Though many of them may need more texts.
- Reworked a lot of player actions to incorporate blocking.
- You can no longer equip items in combat, with the exceptions of items unequipped during combat.
- You can now link items in chat.
- Added a bank. You may wanna drop excess money in there since enemies can now steal it on wipe.
- Added cosmetic items. You can find them on some vendors.
- Door indicators are now drawn on top of other meshes.
