JasX Survey 2022 - Part 1

Let's get started. The plan this year is to do a 3-part series. Part 1 (this one) will be about JasX specific questions. Part 2 will be about funny questions and the fetishes. And part 3 will be about more controversial questions such as crypto. Any charts I've opted to leave out are either for privacy reasons (many of the RL demographic questions count for this), or because they haven't changed from previous surveys (such as hours spent gaming during an average day).

Nothing new to say here. Most stats remain unchanged except for the addition of xMod.

As for the free-text question of Do you play any other games on SL? Most of the responses were board games.

If you got to pick one feature to implement into a JasX game, what would it be? And for which game?

Let's do some Q&A on what I might do, what might be able to be modded in, and what is very unlikely to be implemented. Note that since I personally haven't been involved in Fright development since years ago, I won't be answering Fright requests. But I will forward them to Kulza! Also I'll be skipping questions where I don't know what game the suggestion referred to, or what you mean.

A custom style for BARE - Technically moddable. Unlikely to happen officially due to the age of the BARE codebase.
Bad endings for go thongs. - Very moddable. Though I don't personally work on GoThongs anymore except for commissions (wink wink nudge nudge).
Animesh TiS - Honestly chances of a TiS 2 are astronomically higher than going back and updating the old game. It's one of my first projects and is a mess of hardcoded spaghetti.
whipping the other players - I think most my games support it. Maybe not fright. I'll forward it!
2v1 or 2v2 BARE games - Won't happen in the existing game, but if I ever make a sequel, this will absolutely be a feature.
A monster that would grab a player run off from the party and bang it in another area. Others have to save him/her once they reach that area. - I think this will be something best left to modders, as a lot of players would find it frustrating and boring to have to wait for everyone else. It's an interesting idea though!
Spectator interaction in BARE. - Very interesting idea, but I think it'd work best as a plugin like the no escape punishment mods. So players can decide if they want to use it!
Full Story Skip for GoThongs / Panri for alts - Probably won't happen. But the main story should be pretty quick. Worst case scenario, you can use the dev console or cheat stick to blast your way through it.
GoThongs; a feature to better manage thongs and tell which one has one set of skills - Should be easy enough. I'll take a stab at it next time I'm working on GoThongs.
More achievements in BARE! - Probably won't happen, sorry.
Custom body support for BARE (like ferals) - Won't happen (at least not officially). I'd have to make a version on every single animation in the game for each body, and it would be way too much work. If I ever make a sequel it'll likely be open source though to allow for people to mod it in themselves.
ability to add new regions to jasx hud - Regions in the JasX HUD? You mean like where the terminal is? You can do anything you do at a terminal with just the HUD.
Giving a bouquet of flowers to your teammates and proposing to them - <3
Direct Project Arousal integration would be nice, actually. - Sorry, I'd rather leave that up to modders due to script resource reasons.
Gothongs pvp - PanRi recently added this, go check it out!
Being able to change a pose after getting grabbed, all games. - Unlikely to happen,
at least officially. Sorry.
Persistent sim-wide sessions in GoThongs - Would be cool, but I think GoThongs is a bit too heavy for that sorta thing. Also sim hosting is incredibly expensive!
double or nothing/additional severe rlv stakes -- bare - Won't be added officially, but could make for a very fun mod!
Saving any adjustments to positions during sex animations for fright and GoT - For GoT it's kinda difficult since the animesh monsters have you sit on them and the legacy poses are attached. Gonna have to go with a hard maybe.
VibHub integration - I think most my games have this already, except Fright. Let me know which one you're missing and I'll see what I can do.
More weapons and abilities into GoThongs from TiS - This is definitely something you're gonna have to do with a mod.
BARE: cards should be deployed all 5 flipped down, so players never know how many hits will land, discovering it only when the tokens get flipped hit by hit. - Sounds fun, but I think an equal amount of players love seeing a big chain and immediately know that their block is gonna hit on #2.
not enough difference between a tank and other classes. Tank should all have some sort of innate damage reduction like the Slimelord, or get more bonuses from wearing an armour? - I think the game philosophy is that tank can tankt taunt and use active mitigation. They receive their defensive traits by playing the class rather than having it passive. Whereas DPS have interrupts and healers have dispel. With some overlap on certain classes.
Mana is barely used: mana management is not really a thing. Not sure if it is intentional. - It's an intentional design philosophy. Most classes have abilities that restore mana in some way to charge your powerful attacks. And making it relatively disposable means you will always be hitting different buttons. If a class requires you to hit the same button more than 3 times in a row, then it's not very fun.
For tanks, Mitigation is never on the same key. I find it being a lack of consistency. - I think most of them are on 3 or 4. Abilities are usually set so the frequency of using that ability is related to the button to make it more accessible. But if this is an issue for players it could definitely be changed.
GoThongs: PanRi: Seling inventory -> Forwarded.
The ability to "pounce" my party members in GoThongs - TiS had something like it and it was very annoying. You can definitely mod it in though.
Fixes for TiS so everyone can play it again. - I did recently fix the database errors, so you can actually play it again if you already have it.
further levelling - GoThongs - I'm not really sure what this would add to the game. Feel free to drop a comment!

User made levels in GoThongs like TiS - Here you go. Go wild!
an option for an autocam movement in enemy scenes in GoT. an angle that the camera view gets set to when scenes start, potentially showcasing the ideal angle of an animation, still allowing players to freecam for themselves. returning to mouselook when going back to gameplay - This is an SL restriction. If I set the cam to an angle you can no longer pan around with left/right. But let me know if someone knows of a workaround! That said, you could very likely mod this in too.
I hope this gets a laugh out of you, but I've thought something similar to Phasmaphobia would be fun. - You may be pleasantly surprised about an SL commission I'm working on as we speak.

Some new types this year, roguelike/roguelite, and building games (between roguelike and dating sim). As usual, RPG is by far the most favorited.

I accidentally put building there again. It was only meant to be on the previous question. I like that omegaverse is just a big middle finger. Otherwise, most things remain unchanged.

TiS won this year. It's usually a close tie between TiS and BARE. As usual, the likelihood of making any sequel depends on money and time.

Are there non-JasX games for which you'd like to see a porn parody game made?

Most requests were unique, but some were requested more than once. Remind me next year to add "and name it" to the question. Here are the most requested ones:
