Movie Stream for Saturday the 24th!

So a cable company recently did a study to determine the scariest movie of all time. We won't get into details, but their methods were embarrassingly simplistic, and as you might imagine, it did not result in a list of the scariest movies of all time. Both Conjuring movies made it and even an M. Night joint snuck in at number ten.  But the number one scariest movie of all time, according to this dumb study, is Sinister. Zak is a horror fan through and through. He'll watch just about anything if it claims to be horror. He has never watched Sinister because it doesn't look scary at all. It looks like a Slipknot music video or a WWE promo for The Fiend. This movie reeks of commercially friendly horror, and the test audience for this study was probably a bunch of middle age dads curling their toes in terror inside their New Balance shoes.

So we're watching it tomorrow. If this type of movie doesn't look like your thing, we encourage you to show up anyway, because we are guaranteed going to take a dump on it and have a blast with each other.

We'll start the movie a little later than usual, at 2:30pm EST. Come back here a half an hour before to get the invite links.

See you then!

Love,

Craven + Zak

By the way, what are some of your recent favorites among horror movies Zak? The one that's scared me the most these last years was probably The Witch. Had a nightmare the SECOND I fell asleep that night. The Lighthouse by the same director was great too but not as scary (not necessarily a bad thing though). "In Fabric" was the latest one I watch that stuck with me a bit, a lot due to the visuals and great soundtrack, not as scary but sometimes heartbreaking.

I thought I had seen this but mixed it up with "Insidious" (which only had Darth Maul as an enemy and not a slipknot member).

I watched that movie and I honestly can't remember a thing about it. It really was that boring.

Sinister is ass but I think it’ll be fine for a party

I don't trust any list that doesn't include John Carpenter's The Thing.

Perfect I can sleep in a bit longer, I haven't seen this movie either should be interesting.

Awesome! See you then!
