Why Patreon?

Someone smart said this:

"If you are not paying for the product, YOU are the product."

Youtube, Facebook, Twitter - they are primarily offering catchy content for the masses, so that you spend as much time as possible watching it and browsing through ads.

This Guy Edits is not geared towards the masses, it is a unique channel that doesn’t interest everybody and probably won’t ever be sustainable through advertising alone. Patreon solves that problem and in return offers the opportunity for us to be in an even closer dialog with each other.

So, you shouldn’t support me on Patreon because of the incentives. You should only support me if you already recognize the value that this channel is giving you. And you want to play a part in making sure it’s going to be around long term. Regardless of your action, I appreciate your interest and I hope to see you on the next video.
