Mega64 Movie Club: The Love Guru

Here's our first episode of Mega64 Movie Club, where we'll deep dive on random ass irrelevant movies that nobody's really thinking about right now. Our first one is The Love Guru, which both for us and Mike Meyers, may have been a mistake.

Mega64 will never die.

Ben Kingsley actually is half indian, felt like I needed to let you know that 2 years out

marathedemon

I think it'd be hilarious if they watched something weird and funny like Fritz the Cat, or something really good in my opinion like Willow my all-time favorite movie. 😋

Simon Nagriff

You guys should watch a Neil Breen film next

Kyle Ghatura

I would love a commentary track for an episode of movie club.

Coriander Pyle

Honestly would love to see some clips from the movie to add more context to whatever you guys are saying in future episodes but other than that, looking forward to more movie club episodes. :D

Sang Tran

I love y'alls analysis....I hope I never see this movie

Just joined the patreon to start watching these shitty movies and you reviewing them. Was that film worth my time? No. But now we share the same suffering in our lives. I love you guys.

Adrián Ramos

I love this! Can't wait for more.

Spenerico

If you guys wanna watch something truly weird in terms of tone/acting choices, I highly recommend River's Edge. It's an 80's movie that's got zany performances from Keanu, Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper but the subject matter is pitch black. Its on HBO Go at the moment and can be rented on Amazon Prime Video.

James

Guru Tugginmypudha sounds like a name in a mega64 video.

Jacob Gasper

Best patreon series yet dudes, keep em cominn

gmedley

Good shit dudes

greatsupper

Looking forward to more of these. I think it'd be nice to see discussions on movies you guys actually like as well. I see no reason to put yourselves in the box of having to watch dogshit every time.

Castle GSkull

This was a great watch, really hope this series continues! Would be really cool if you guys did live commentary while watching together (may be easier when you're all in person once quarantine is over) on a Twitch stream if that's something you guys would be interested in.

Sgnilleh

So sorry

Mega64

I watched this movie, and signed up to the patreon, just for this.

Jira

fuck yeah dudes this rules !

Whamblo

Love this. Great job boys.

Bo Z

can't wait for more! Trying to think of movies that came out around the same time that are mentioned in older podcasts like Jennifer's Body, Blood and Chocolate, or Perfume Story of a Murderer

vEisDe4d

Good shit

bart607

I really want you guys to do dragonball evolution if only for shawn's reactions

Saw this movie in anticipation for this video on it, and your discussion doesn't even scratch the surface for how disturbing this movie was. There were just too many gross gags, animal abuse gags, and borderline racist (and vern troyer little people jokes) to redeem this movie. One good gag that got a genuine laugh out of me was seeing a young mike myers with an adult mike myers head but that's about it. This movie discussion thing is awesome! Keep em coming! One comment I have is that the "we watch it so that you don't have to" tag line is very similar to Nostalgia Critic's "I remember it, so you don't have to". I know its probably unintentional but it was like, as if Love Guru wasn't distrubing enough now I'm thinking about the Nostalgia Critic. Not sure if I'm the only one that thought this...

FitzIsCoy

Really loved this, can’t wait for more! Hope it becomes a regular segment as well.

Kevin Fermini

This was great

Charles D

Any chance of looking back on old movies like starship troopers or Robocop?

Fidorulz
