2024-09-05 00:48:01 +0000 UTCThe PS3 felt like the last “true” Sony console, in terms of being new technology of Sony’s unique custom design that didn’t really exist yet, surpassing what PC gaming was capable of. By comparison, the PS4/5 were just kinda powerful PCs. Since graphics and performance technology have pretty much plateaued, there’s nothing that differentiates home console gaming from PC gaming. Each PS iteration is now pretty much just Sony catching up with performance and graphics standards, instead of surpassing them and being an exciting new leap forward.
