2025-09-03 23:33:33 +0000 UTCAllow me to retort (please): When I talk about purposely arriving late to the theater, I average about 90 theater trips per year. If I can save 20 minutes per trip, that's 30 extra hours for me to enjoy more Mega64 content on Patreon! I am in no way condoning the theater chains on delaying the start time of the actual movie, it's just a reality I learned to deal with. I totally agree that it's wrong for them to say what the time is and then delay it more than 20 minutes. I can sense the audience get real restless when we approach that 20 minute mark. I also know that Fathom Events and older movies either skip trailers or shorten them. I'm with Rocco on that one that I shake my head when I see people arrive late for those. And when I mentioned that seats are assigned, I wasn't implying that it was a new thing. I know they do this at every theater now. But being able to get a premium seat ahead of time removes the requirement for me to arrive early to nab one of those seats. I arrive 15-20 minutes after showtime and I'm in my preferred seat.
