At Any Moment

Niall would have liked to say that all of his strong thick muscles were the product of his own hard work but the truth was that they were actually gifted to him by his best friend Simone. She had recently discovered that her bodybuilder boyfriend of the previous two years had drunkenly cheated on her with another guy. Needless to say she had been beyond furious and decided to punish the unfaithful Dominic as harshly as she could using the innate magic that coursed through every fibre of her being, thanks to being from a long bloodline of witches. 

Dominic’s punishment came quickly and she took great joy in stripping him of all of his hard-earned muscles and instead giving them to Niall, her best friend and somebody she believed her boyfriend absolutely despised. After all, they had always been publically rude to each other - Niall claimed Dominic was a bad influence on her and Dominic insisted that Niall was too clingy in their friendship - and she’d had to stop arguments between them multiple times before. How could she possibly predict that of all people it had been Niall that her boyfriend had ended up in bed with?

Of course, being the spineless rat that he was, Dominic had attempted to tell Simone that Niall had seduced him - a partial truth at best - but she had of course refused to believe him. Why would her best friend, who had warned her all along that Dominic was no good for her, betray her like that? She put it down to her ex-boyfriend being a pathetic lying weasel yet again and Niall assured her that no such thing had ever happened, nor would he even want it to. “He’s a pig,” the newly-muscular gay man had announced. “No offense Simone but the thought of that guy’s hands on me makes my skin crawl.”

Every word out of Niall’s mouth was a lie and he knew it. He was also well aware that Simone could quite easily discover the truth if she put either himself or Dominic under a truth spell and he seriously didn’t want that to happen. He could only imagine what she would do if she discovered that he really had gone behind her back and fucked her boyfriend. She probably wouldn’t just drain all of his gorgeous new muscles away either - she’d think of something much, much worse to punish him for his crime. Knowing that his whole life could change at any moment put Niall on edge but he did his best to play along as the supportive best friend and ignore those dirty thoughts inside of his mind that suggested how fun it would be to meet Dominic behind closed doors once again now that he was the bigger man...
